It’s the most wonderful time of year!
Oh, I am some of you are thinking I got the season wrong on this blog.
For some of us, I should say a lot of us this is truly the most wonderful time of year?
How’s that you say?
Well, lets think about it.
In a week we have March madness beginning.
In 3 weeks we have the opening of baseball season.
High school baseball is in full swing.
And in a month or so we have the holy grail of golf tournaments, The Masters!
Not to mention that the days get longer and things are actually starting to grow!
And after this long winter we are having I can’t wait for all of this to happen.
Ok, some of you who are not sport fans might not understand all of the hype about the next month.
But for most of us this is truly a special time of year.
Let’s talk about the basketball first. Watching schools that you have never heard of upset the big goliaths of college basketball, what fun. Oh sure the upsets mess up everyone’s bracket but who really cares?
I love seeing a good upset.
Then you have baseball opening day. Talk about hopeful time of year. Everyone’s team starts 0-0. Hope reign’s eternal especially if you are a Mariner’s fan!
On a personal note, I get to watch my son pitch and play his senior year. I literally plan my life around his baseball schedule. I am sure some of you parents do the same thing.
Then there is the Master’s. I tell everyone I am close with that I am out of commission that weekend. For us golf fans this is truly the best golf of the year. We feel like we know the golf course as well as the players as it is the only “major” that is played at the same golf course every year. The azalea’s, the fast greens and plush fairways make this the best show on t.v.
And last but not least our yards are starting to bloom and the days are getting longer. Time for buying flowers and getting out the bbq.
Yes, if you ask me, this truly is the most wonderful time of year!
